Conference
Where and when will the conference be held?
From the 19th to 22nd of May, 2026, at the Max-Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences – Faßberg-Campus in Göttingen, Germany.
When does registration open?
On the 1st of January, 2026.
When is the deadline for registration?
You can register until the 12th of April, 2026.
How much is the registration fee?
The registration fee for the conference package is 40€ until the 31st of January, 45€ until the 22nd of March, and 50€ until the 12th of April.
What does the conference package include?
The conference package includes lunch, coffee breaks, career fair workshops and access to social events (tour of the German Primate Centre on the afternoon of the 19th, poster session with wine and cheese on the afternoon of the 20th, conference dinner on the 21st, and a happy hour with pizza and drinks on the afternoon of the 22nd).
When and how do I pay the registration fee?
Registration fee payment is due by direct bank transfer within three working days of registration, otherwise the registration is considered void. It is only possible to pay via direct bank transfer. Card and PayPal payments are not accepted.

Do I have to pay the registration fee if I only want to attend the talks?
You can attend all lectures for free.
Is there any financial assistance for participants?
Yes, we can cover the travel expenses of a few participants that show interest in financial assistance in their registration. This is particularly aimed at scientists whose labs cannot cover their travel expenses.
Will I receive a registration confirmation?
When you register, you will get an automatically generated email as confirmation of registration. In this email, we will provide you with our bank details for registration fee payment.
I changed my mind about participating in the conference. Can I withdraw my registration and get a full refund?
You can withdraw your registration by writing an email to neurizons@mpinat.mpg.de, but we cannot refund you for the registration fee.
Will there be a conference booklet?
Yes, there will be an online conference booklet including the program, speaker information, sponsor details and abstracts of the talks. This will be made available on our website a few weeks prior to the conference.
Will I get a certificate of participation in the conference? When will I receive it?
Yes, if you paid the registration fee. You will receive a certificate of attendance by email within two months after the conference.
Will lunch be provided at the conference?
Lunch and snacks during the coffee breaks for all days of the conference will be provided and are included in the conference package. The conference dinner on the 21st is also included. We will account for dietary restrictions.
Abstract submission and posters
When is the deadline for abstract submission?
On the 22nd of March, 2026.
Do I have to do anything in order to submit an abstract?
In order to submit an abstract, you must first complete the conference registration and pay the registration fee.
What is the recommended poster size?
The recommended size is A0 in portrait.
Can one student /researcher submit more than one abstract /poster?
No.
Can I make changes to the abstract after submission?
No, and you can only submit an abstract once. In case of double submission, only the first one will be considered.
Can there be more than one presenter?
Yes.
Am I guaranteed a poster spot if I submit an abstract?
No, we will inform you by mid-April of whether your abstract was accepted, and to what (poster session, flash talk, young investigator talk).
I changed my mind about participating in the poster session, can I withdraw?
Yes, withdrawal of poster presentation is possible, however the registration fee cannot be refunded.
I registered as a participant without submitting an abstract. I changed my mind and would like to submit an abstract. Is this change possible?
Yes, as long as you submit your abstract before the 22nd of March. Just head to the abstract submission page on our website.
Will I get a certificate of participation in the poster session? When will I get it?
Yes, you will receive a certificate of attendance within two months after the conference.
Can I collect credits for presenting a poster at the conference?
Yes, you can collect credits for attendance and for presenting a poster.
Can I submit an abstract that was also presented at another conference?
Yes.
Academic events
How can I participate in a career fair workshop?
You can choose one workshop to take part in while registering. There are limited spots available in both workshops hence slots will be assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis. If you do not get a spot, your name will be added to the waiting list and we will inform you if you get a spot. Only participants who pay the registration fee can attend the workshop.
How are the participants for the young investigator talks selected?
The abstracts from all the participants who choose to be considered for the young investigator talks in the abstract submission will be reviewed anonymously by the organisers and the top three abstracts will be selected to present a 10-minute talk. The selected participants cannot take part in the poster session. More details will be sent to those selected.
How are the participants for the flash talks selected?
The top five abstracts of participants that opt to be considered for the flash talks, and are not selected for a young investigator talk, will be chosen to present their poster in a 3-minute talk.
Are there other perks to being selected for a young investigator talk or a flash talk?
Yes, we will cover travel expenses for all those selected to a young investigator talk, and the authors of the two best abstracts selected for flash talks.
