What to do with a phd?
Welcome to “What to do with a PhD” workshop! In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to explore the career opportunities after PhD, in an interactive environment. This workshop will be especially recommended to participants who are about to start a new chapter in their careers, but will be also very beneficial for early career scientists who wants to explore possible career options.
The workshop will be given by Dr. Gaby Schilling. It will be on 21.03.2024, Tuesday and will be approx. 3 hours long
Dr. Gaby Schilling earned her doctorate in chemistry and holds a B. Sc. in psychology.
For more than 17 years she has held various leading positions in an internationally operating DAX 30 company in Germany and the US and was heading teams of experts and managers in research, product development and product safety. She has thus gained profound first-hand experience in all phases of collaboration with employees – from recruitment over career development and promotion to change of career.
Qualifications to business coach and career coach complement her practical experience. Since 2012 Gaby has been working as coach and consultant for natural scientists. She also runs workshops and trains groups whereby the main focus is on the transition from science into industry and taking over leadership tasks.
