Young Investigator Contest

Young scientists, NEURIZONS is for you! This is the opportunity for you and your research to reach a wider audience and win exciting prices.

Young Investigator Contest

Young Investigator Contest (YIC) is a platform for PhD students and early postdocs to showcase their ideas on stage with a short talk.

The abstracts from all the participants who chose to be considered for YIC during registration will be reviewed anonymously by the organizers and top three abstracts will be selected to present as talks.

The duration of each talk is 20 min + 5 min for questions. A panel of reviewers (non-students) will evaluate the talks and the winner will receive an exciting prize from us.

The participants selected for YIC will also receive a prestigious travel grant (covering registration fee, travel and accommodation expenses) from the Boehringer Ingelheim Stiftung.

The participants selected for YIC will not have a poster in the poster session.

The talks are scheduled on Thursday, 23rd May 2024 between 14:00 to 16:00 CEST.

Power Pitches

If you chose your abstract to be considered for YIC but did not get selected, we have another opportunity for you to share your ideas – the power pitches.

Power Pitches are very short talks of duration 2-3 min +2 min for questions. Here, you can convince the audience as to why they should come to your poster and know your research. You can present using power point slides or just a talk. From the abstracts which did not get selected for YIC, top ten abstracts will be chosen for Power Pitches. These participants can also present a poster at the poster session.

The power pitch talks will be on the 22nd and 23rd May.

Poster session

In addition to the YIC and power pitches, we also have a poster session where all the participants can share their research and build networks. You can present a poster without participating in the YIC or power pitches. There will be an exciting prize for the best poster too!

The poster session will be on 23rd May 2024 from 16:00 onward.

Submission

For formatting guidelines and poster requirements, see the FAQ and the abstract submission pages. After completing the registration you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a token, which you will need for the abstract submission
